Special FeaturesThe Story Of Petroleum 15 minutes Deleted Scenes Trailers It's already up for pre-order on Play.com for £16.99 LINK March 14 Riddle me this, Riddle me that, who's afraid of the Big Black Bat..Hot off the press we have confirmation from Warner Bros. that the awesome Batman Begins will be hitting Blu-ray on the 8th July(in the U.S, UK dates to stil be confirmed). Being as this titles distributed by Warner Bros it means that it's also going to be Region Free for import. I probably would'nt buy it normally since I've already got it amongst a very small gathering of HD-DVD's in my collection. However, and here's the good bit.. Warner have chosen to produce not only a bog standard single Disk edition but also a Limited edition that contains the following:
To quote Blu-ray.com
"Both the single disc and gift set editions will include an exclusive comic book prologue to the upcoming sequel 'The Dark Knight', which is set to hit theaters July 18th. The box set will also include a Batman Begins motion art lenticular, script pages, exclusive photos, storyboards, five collectible Batman Begins postcards, and $7.50 in movie cash toward a Dark Knight ticket."
Now, I'm aware that I won't be able to use the "movie cash" but the rest should look pretty great. Loved the movie a lot so am looking forward to seeing this once more details are released on it. I'll keep you posted.. March 12 Elah 'va movie..Apologies for the poor title.. Just confirmed to Blu-ray U.K release is the Tommy Lee Jones flick In The Valley Of Elah. Also starring Charlize Theron and Jason Patric this makes it's UK debut on 2nd June. However, being what this blog is I try to give you readers a slight advantage over other folk.. hint.. it's U.S region free and is already available to buy from (as always recommended) Movietyme and DVDWorldUSA. Always a nice feeling cracking open a new release knowing your seeing it before other people get to
Synopsis as follows: "When model soldier Mike Deerfield (Jonathan Tucker) mysteriously goes AWOL, shortly after returning to the U.S. from the front lines in Iraq, his career officer father Hank (Tommy Lee Jones), enlists the aid of police detective Emily Sanders (Charlize Theron) in the search for his son. His wife Joan (Susan Sarandon) also joins them to uncover the truth of his disappearance." Tommy Lee Jones reputedly puts in a great performance in this movie, at points heart rendering. One for the list to watch..I'm a big fan of Tommy Lee Jones, he's always such a presence on film and he should be well matched by the superbly capable Susan Sarandon. Certainly this film looks worthy of a rent at the very least and it won't be long before I put it in my collection.

Basically.. more of the same, but since I was a fan of the first movie then thats not a problem for me. Like the ol' saying goes.. "don't fix what ain't broke!" Link for Official Film site HERE March 08 Zodiac Blu-ray release date now 04/09/08Following on from yesterdays post I've just received an email from Amazon that Zodiac on Blu-ray has now been re-arranged for release between the 2nd and 4th September. Originally slated for release earlier in April I guess it's a case of better late than never..
"Dear Customer,

It's a release I've been looking forward to getting for a while now, I know it's quite a long film and a lot of people went to see this at the cinema were slighty annoyed because this was marketed as almost a follow-up to the film Seven,(great film y the way.. if you have'nt seen it then I really recommend you giving it a go) and went into the cinema to find a completely different kind of film from what they expected to see. Roll on September! |
